The Sawaddi Patong Resort and Spa is without equal in terms of aesthetics. The city's rich maritime trading history served as inspiration for Phuket. The resort features a synthesis of Chinese and European design elements in homage to the area's Sino-Portuguese heritage.

Inspired by the historic shophouses of Phuket, the louvre shuttered windows on the upper levels open to a view of covered entrances and verandas. The resort is cantered on a covered walkway (or ngor kha kee as it's called in Thailand).

In traditional Sino-Portuguese architecture, the foyer (or tianjing) serves as a gathering place for friends and family. The intricate local culture shines through in the design of every stairwell, hallway, and nook.
