Majorca’s coastline is lined with countless beautiful beaches, from long stretches of white sand prime for swimming and sunbathing, to small, secluded coves that are great for snorkelling. But the island offers other natural wonders, including some impressive cave systems that are fascinating to explore. At the Cuevas del Drach (Dragon Caves) you can see spectacular stalactite formations, intricate vaulted ceilings and a subterranean lake.

Entertainment on Majorca

If you’re keen to experience the island’s famous nightlife, head to Magaluf on the southwest coast. Its broad promenade is lined with bars and restaurants, where you’ll find dinner shows and evening entertainment alongside late-night clubs. A short drive north along the coast is Palma Nova, popular with families due to its three Blue Flag beaches with excellent facilities. The resort town also offers bucketloads of entertainment options, such as water sports and mini-golf.

Cultural Capital

In Palma, Majorca’s lively capital, you can tour historic sites including the impressive La Seu Cathedral and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, one of the official residences of the Spanish royal family. Wander through the cobbled streets of the city’s old town and you’ll come across ancient convents, palaces and courtyards. Don’t miss the 10th-century Arab Baths, one of the only remaining Moorish structures on the island.
