The Hermitage

This is a home with 350 years of history, it is known to be one of the oldest wooden houses in the Caribbean. Guests enjoy the library and the sitting rooms where tea and cocktails are served. Meals are served on the dining verandah overlooking an orchard of mango trees. Our 13 guest rooms surround the historic mainhouse. Our cottages are all unique, built in the traditional style of Nevisian chattel houses, furnished with four poster beds and hammocks on every porch. Room Types

• Rose Villa

  The Rose Villa is large, with four bedrooms and five bathrooms.  It has a fully equipped kitchen, two spacious sitting rooms with attached porches upstairs and downstairs.  There are two king size beds, two double beds, and a pull out couch.  A swimming pool is tucked into the gardens and is perfect for privacy.

• Yellow Manor House

  This is a modern replica of a traditional Nevis Great House. It’s a two-storied building with two master bedrooms and a spare room all upstairs; downstairs there’s a kitchen, dining room and living room.

• Hillside Rooms

  Hillside rooms are ground level studio units, each with full bathroom and amenities. Each with its own place in the gardens; near the restaurant and by the pool. Some of these rooms are part of 18th century structures. Each room features dedicated Wi-Fi with 100 Mbps, powered by advanced fiber optics for easy streaming and browsing during your stay.

• Balcony Rooms

  These standard hotel rooms surround the swimming pool with a view of the ocean, each with a bedroom and a private porch. They are light and airy rooms that are situated to catch the cool tropical breezes. Each room features dedicated Wi-Fi with 100 Mbps, powered by advanced fiber optics for easy streaming and browsing during your stay.

• Gingerbread Cottages

  These private cottages offer more space than our other rooms with a main bedroom, separate sitting room, kitchenette, and a private porch. Some cottages are suitable for families with children as day beds can be made up in the sitting room.
