Although time travel is a long way to go, the closest you can get to it is by visiting Havana, a city still stuck in time. Since international restrictions were lifted from Cuba a while ago, its capital city Havana has been experiencing a tourist boom owing to its unspoiled old-school charisma.
As you stroll through the city, the colourful vintage cars cruising through streets, withered colonial-era buildings and cobbled squares induce a feeling of nostalgia.
Havana is also one of the most artsy destinations in the world to visit which is quite evident by the sound of music from every other building filling the streets and the beautiful Cuban arts & crafts present on display on the streets for sale. The city has a number of places that you can visit, out of which the Malecón, an 8 km long seawall, Revolution Museum, La Cabaña Fort, Revolution Plaza, and National Capitol Building are some of the most important ones. The streets of Old Havana and Central Havana are city's most photograph-worthy locations because of the old-school colourful buildings that line the streets. When in Havana, a ride in one of the vintage cars on the streets, especially Malecón is a must. You will fall in love with the food and drinks scene of the city. A number of eateries serve authentic Cuban dishes worth drooling over, and the bars are all about Cuban rums and refreshing cocktails.
