Deccan Odyssey is India’s new luxury train. A seven-night heritage train tour on the West coast of India takes you through time and cultures. Visit the erstwhile kingdom of the Marathas, the finest beaches on the Konkan coastline, the backwaters and the legendary ocean forts, the world heritage caves of Ajanta and Ellora, the handicraft village of Shilpa Gram, the vineyards of Nashik and the bustling city of
Pune. This train has 13 air-conditioned deluxe saloons, each comprising of 4 passenger cabins with shower and attached private facilities. The facilities include 2 multi-cuisine restaurants, a lounge and a bar, channel music and spa with Ayurvedic massage facility.

Day 1 Mumbai
Arrive Mumbai and transfer to The Oberoi Hotel.
Day 2 Mumbai
Morning city tour of Mumbai. In the afternoon join the Deccan Odyssey train from Victoria
Terminus station (Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus). Dinner on board.
Day 3 Jaigarh, Ganapatipule & Ratnagiri
Arrive Bhoke Railway Station in the morning. Take backwater cruise to view legendary Jaigarh
Fort. Drive to Ganapatipule on the Konkan coast for lunch. Afternoon visit charming Ratnagiri town, Ratnadurg fort and the Lokmanya Tilak Smarak. Board the train in Ratnagiri.

Day 4 Sindhudrug, Tarkarli,Sawantwadi
Morning arrive Sindhudurg Nagari. Visit the Sindhudurg seaside Fort. Later drive to Tarkarli
beach resort for lunch. Afternoon cruise through the Taekarli Creek to the Kalse Jetty. Visit the Sawantwadi town, famous for it's ‘Shilpgram’ handicraft market. Board the train at Sawantwadi Railway Station.
Day 5 Goa
Arrive Karmali Railway station in the morning. Tour of old Goa visiting Basilica of Bom Jesus Church, Se Cathedral and Church of St.Francis of Assisi. Walk through Fontanhas, the Latin quarters at Panjim (Capital of Goa). Lunch at a Beach resort hotel. Afternoon free for independent exploration. Evening depart from Madgoan Railway Station. .
Day 6 Pune
Visit the old central market, Kelkar Museum, David Sassoon Synagogue and Agha Khan Palace where Mahatma Gandhi was imprisoned during British India. Also visit Osho Ashram and enjoy a son et lumiere at Shaniwarwada Palace. Evening board the train. |

Day 7 Aurangabad
Morning visit historical Daulatabad Fort and famous Ellora caves with 34 cave temples
dedicated to Hindu, Buddhist and Jain religions. After lunch and a cultural program visit Shivaji museum with weapons and antiques from the great Maratha Empire. Also visit Aurangabad caves (No.7&8) and Bibi Ka Makbara – replica of
Taj Mahal. Depart in the evening.
Day 8 Ajanta, Nashik
Arrive Jalgoan Railway Station in the morning and drive to Ajanta to visit the world renowned caves (200BC to 650AD) discovered by a British hunting party in 1819. Now a world heritage site, these caves house the finest murals and sculptures. Board the train at Bhusaval and proceed to Nashik. Lunch on board. Visit Sula vineyard in Nashik, where you
will wine and dine before departing for Mumbai.
Day 9 Mumbai
Breakfast on board. Arrive Mumbai in the morning. Transfer to the Oberoi Hotel. Remainder of the
day at leisure.
Day 10 Mumbai to London
Transfer to the airport for your flight home
